In this example, we will set tray1 paper size for Comm10 envelopes. This change is made under the Custom paper size setting for either tray1 or tray2. When printing envelopes, it is necessary to change the paper size for the appropriate tray, so the printer "knows" envelopes are actually in the tray. I should also say in closing that If I had known prior to purchase that this HP printer couldn't handle #9's, then I would have elected to purchase another brand! So, rather than utilize #10's (which it does accommodate, but I don't like personally), I'll likely move to DL, which is the closest to #9, although the width of the standard US letter page fits too snugly in DL for my liking. The most common size of a 10 envelope is 4.125 x 9.5 inches. In the feedback from banhein and your good self, I've concluded that this printer does not accommodate #9's, I don't know why this is the case (for reasons mentioned in previous posts), but c'est la vie! All envelopes print the pertinent information outside of the #9 envelope's dimensions. As mentioned, I did design a #9 template in Word for Mac, however the printer does not recognize this template.
